I am a garden designer, horticulturist, and plant obsessive with nearly 20 years of experience in the Green Industry. On a journey born in the American Midwest and honed in the Mid-Atlantic, I have sought knowledge through a multi-disciplinary approach. Through work in high-end retail garden centers, public horticulture, and local landscape design, I have gained experience alongside mentors, colleagues, and with my own students. My focus is on people taking their gardens more seriously and putting the same care into them that they do into the rest of their home.

I prefer to focus on naturalistic design, with a native-forward approach. I design for as many living creatures as possible that will experience the garden. As much as I want a garden to be filled with bees, butterflies, and other beneficial creatures, it is just as important that it positively affects you and your neighbors. Along with the visual and ecological benefits, I try to understand that a space with low maintenance requirements is important in our hectic and unpredictable lives. Every garden is designed with our client’s needs and vision in mind, translated directly into a livable and beautiful space.
